HOW WE DO SAASTHAA BRICKS

The raw materials are chosen with great expertise. At the stock point, 3 types of soil is blended at a ratio to yield the premium quality we are well known for. It is then loaded in to the box feeder and goes through 3 crushers. This process makes sure that the stones in the soil are powdered to ensure great finish of the bricks. The mixture is binded with water. Everything is blended in the final mixer once again to bring the clay to the perfect consistency.

The 5 stage mixing was developed to increase precision. The clay is de-aired by vaccum in the extruder, thereby increasing wet strength and density of the bricks. The mixture leaves the extruder in long columns and are then cut using state-of-the-art hydraulic cutting machine. precision sensors are used in the cutting process. Stacker robots are used for the lining of the bricks on paletes.

The bricks are shade dried for a period of time and then moved to the open. finally, they are moved to the klin chambers where they under go firing at controlled temperatures for 40-50 hours. This is a slow but vital step. The colour, density and solidity of a brick is achieved at this point. Interesetingly, our bricks make the sound, similar to that of a clay pot, when stroked!
